Camping Full Time

After high centering on some rocks at the lake behind our house, Olivia and I decided that some adjustments needed to be made. After checking out craigslist, we agreed on a lift kit, new offroad tires, new vinyl and a rear seat so more friends can come along. There is still some work to do, but here is the progress. Olivia just loves driving her kart around the house.
And finally...........I wanted to share an unsolicited piece of advice I received last week when I was in Denver. As many of you know, I travel quite a bit which keeps me from home a couple days each week. An old friend reminded me of this to keep our priorities in check:
When it comes to Money: You can earn it, steal it, find it, win it, inherit it, and more...
When it comes to Time: Time is non-negotiable.....

Where's Jaime??
Okay, well I'm a little embarrassed to admit but I've have been sucked into the world of the Twilight book series. I'll tell you I am TOTALLY obsessed!! I read the first book in three days, then the next one I read the first 522 pages on Friday! I have never read anything like them before. Thank goodness I have several friends who have read them before because I have needed them to coach me through each one. I am working on the third one now, and am trying to pace myself. I know, it's totally sad that I'm 32 and am into these teenager vampire books...but it's true, a the books are great! So, if anyone is looking for ideas on something good to read....two thumbs up from me.

My Big Redneck Wedding????
Okay, the other night I was looking for something that was not depressing, stressful, or thought provoking...ahhhh CMT's "My Big Redneck Wedding". OMG this has got to be the funnest thing I've ever seen!! It was so ridiculous that I couldn't turn the channel. It's a little like Jerry Springer was a few years ago.....everyone secretly watched, but no one wanted to admit it. Well, if you're looking for a really good laugh with a bonus of feeling GREAT about your lives, check it out!!! Here's a little taste for you.....FYI - some of it may not be kid friendly :o)Wednesday, January 7, 2009

2009
Well, I had all these great intentions on posting a really great blog of all our major happenings in 2008 with a month by month summary and pics....but after working on it for almost a week now, I decided in bed last night not to do it. All in all, we had a really good year in 2008 but I'm ready to move on to a new year! This year will bring all kinds of exciting stuff for us. Reece's Hemophilia is a continuous learning process, but we welcome all the knowledge we can get. My hope is that his body continues to react well to the prophylaxis and that we have no major issues to overcome (might be wishful thinking, but what the heck). My big girl will start Kindergarten this year which is just way too crazy to imagine. Isn't she still in diapers and throwing food off of her highchair to the dogs?? Where have the years gone? David and I will celebrate our 9th anniversary next month, which is also hard to believe. Seems like just yesterday we were moving to Oklahoma and planning our wedding.
