New Do!

Well, yesterday Olivia had her first big girl hair cut. She was so excited. She told me that since she was a "big girl" I didn't need to stand next to her :o) It was just a trim, but the french braid the lady did when we were done was really cute. She also got some product for her hair. Just a leave in conditioner, but it was a big deal! I can't believe how fast they grow up.

I also had a chance to get my pictures developed from the disposable camera I had. The quality of the pics isn't so good, but there were cute ones in there so I just had to share them.

Okay, so I'm a little obsessive with the layout for the blog. I know I've changed it about five times now. I can't decide what I want it to look like! I see all these great blogs with custom headers and textured backgrounds....how do you get those?? I think I'll stick with this one for now :o)

Well, Olivia had her last day at gymnastics yesterday. Once school starts next week she won't be able to go on Wed. anymore. I think she's okay with it though. She's sooo excited to start soccer tots in a couple of weeks. It will be on Friday's at 5pm so Dad will be able to come and watch. I'll have lots of cute pics once that starts.

Also, dad and sister surprised Reece with a Bumbo yesterday. For those of you with babies, if you haven't gotten one of these you should. They are wonderful to help little ones sit up. He LOVES it. He just stairs at sister and the TV mostly. My digital camera has bitten the dust so I've taken some pics with my disposable and it will take a day or so to get the pics developed. No fear, I have a new camera on the way. In the meantime, I thought I would post some old pics of the family.

Monday August 27

Well, Daddy's home.....YEAH!!!! I feel like reinforcements have finally arrived :o) We're going to be so spoiled that he will be home all week! I've already got plans to go shopping tomorrow and am requesting a nap each day (haven't gotten final approval on that yet though).

We did have a pretty good weekend. Uncle John John and Angela came by on Saturday to visit and bring by some goodies Angela picked up for the kidos on her trip to San Francisco. Olivia insisted on wearing her t-shirt the moment they left and I had to pry it off for bath later that day.

After they left, we went to Granzie's for that evening. Daddy got home around noon on Sunday. Olivia kept asking me to take Reece into the other room last night because she needed more "alone time" with Daddy. I think that made his day.

Olivia's school starts next week....I've been counting down the days for that all summer. She will go three days a week and her friend Ashley will be in her class. She's really excited!. We already have our new back pack and matching lunch box which I had to bribe her with a toy at Target to buy. She picked out the Tinkerbell bag with green and purple foil on it which I just couldn't handle. She will also start soccer tots in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see how that goes.

Well, both kids are asleep so it looks like my request for a nap was granted for today!

Friday August 24

Well, this is my first attempt at a blog for our family. I have so many friends and family that have such interesting stories to tell that I'm a little afraid that I won't have anything fun to report.....I'll take a shot at it anyway.

We are going on our second week with Daddy away for work. He did come home for a few days last weekend, but back on the road again Tuesday. He will be making his way home on Sunday though and we are all counting down the minutes until then.

Reece has just changed to a new formula, for the 4th time, starting yesterday to Similac Sensitive with no Lactos. The doc says she wants him off the soy if possible since it's so hard for him to digest. So far, so good. He seems to really take well to it, so we shall see. My pantry looks like the baby isle in HEB with all the different formulas and medicines he takes. If this formula does well, we can get him off the Miralax which will bring us down to just two meds a day. Keep your fingers crossed for us. The good news though, is that he has started sleeping better at night THANK GOODNESS! This at least helps me keep my sanity. I'm actually getting a bath most days now and at least two meals a day :o) Laundry and dishes are only a bonus if they get done. Here is a picture of Reece on his activity mat. He LOVES this toy!!

Olivia got to stay the night with Granzy and Grandad last night. That's always a treat (for everyone). She went to see some minuture horses with Granzy yesterday, however, the dogs and cats were more to her liking :o) Here is a pic of her with one of the minis.

We also went to David's sister Carrie's wedding this weekend. We all had a really good time. Here are a couple of pics of us at the reception. Uncle John John's just too tall to fit in :o)
